João Ferreira Nunes, Landscape Architect by the Higher School of Agronomy, Technical University, Lisbon, Master Degree in Landscape Architecture by the Higher Technical School of Architecture,  Barcelona, Polytechnic University of Catalonia. 
Founder and Director of the Landscape Architecture Atelier, PROAP, which gathers a wide range of professionals in a multidisciplinary internal staff with different levels of expertise in landscaping, in its more inclusive sense.
As an International Director, he is responsible for strategic, executive and tactical leadership of the three international ateliers: Lisbon (Portugal), Luanda (Angola) and Treviso (Italy). He coordinates project, conceptual and creative activities and defines the strategic lines of the research processes.
He is a Professor in the schools he has graduated from: in the Facoltà di Architectura di Alghero da Università degli Studi di Sassari, Italy and in the Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio in the Suisse-Italian Uneversity, providing occasional services as a Professor in Harvard, Universitá de Girona, Università IUAV di Venezia, Technology and Architecture School of ISCTE Lisbon, in Politecnico de Milano, Italy, in Moderna University, Politecnico di Torino, Roma La Sapienza, Roma Ludovico Quaroni, Facoltà di Architettura di Napoli and Accademia di Architettura di Mendrisio.  

Awards
2008 - National Landscape Architecture Award (PNAP).
2011 - Red Dot Design Award, with line + form Larus.
2011 – International Contest for Khan Antoun Bey - Beirut, Lebanon.
2015 – 1st Prize, “Contest for Urbanism project of Étoile”, Geneva, Switzerland (+ Gonçalo Byrne and Pierre-Alain Dupraz).
2016 - Honourable Mention Parque Urbano da Cruz de Montalvão, Castelo Branco – Portugal.
